There aren't many strict rules
on After... Most things I would hope are common sense netiquette
concepts. If you ARE found to have broken any of these rules, or
we receive a series of complaints about you, action will be
taken. You will receive a warning, potentially a schooling on
how not to repeat the offense, and if the behavior continues,
further action will be taken, including toading or banning.
----------------------
1. After...MUCK has a mature rating. This is our disclaimer.
There will potentially be violence, death, strong language, sexual
overtones, and adult topics. Animals are animals, and the
natural world is not very nice, and it certainly isn't PG. If
you are underage or uncomfortable with such content, After...may
not be for you.
1.a Mature content DOES NOT MEAN 'sex muck'. This is not
Tapestries. There is no rule against TS and sexual RP, as very
often that is a big part of a storyline, but to avoid making
people uncomfortable we DO insist that it is not done in public
or where people may accidentally wander in on you. There will be
no lenience about this rule.
2. No harassment, insults, extreme OOC language (characters
swear sometimes, it happens), or any other unpleasant behavior
that would make players feel unwelcome or uncomfortable.
3. Remember that this is a role-play MUCK. You must be able to
seperate in-character events and actions from out-of-character
(real life). I understand people connect with their characters,
but realize that if someone's character hurts your character, it
is NOT a personal attack against you OOC. Keep OOC information
OOC, if you are told something about an RP situation, keep that
information OOC, to use that info ICly would be powergaming,
twinking, etc.
3a. Danger is an ever-present possibility on After...Just as in
the natural world, it's eat or be eaten. Bad things might
happen. If your character makes bad decisions, your character
may pay the consequences, including injury and possibly even
death. In-character Actions = In-character consequences. If your
character does something dumb, there will be consequences for
said action.
3b. NO POWERGAMING (godmoding, twinking, etc.). You control YOUR
characters' actions and only your characters' actions, unless
another player has EXPRESSLY given you permission to control
their character.
4. On After...we stress realism in our animal roleplay. While we
aren't going to be extremely strict on this matter, we don't
believe it's too much to ask for you to read up a bit on your
animal of choice. The internet has vast resources available
toward this end, and if you can't find anything or need help,
feel free to ask one of our staffers. http://www.wikipedia.org and
http://animaldiversity.ummz.umich.edu/site/index.html are good
resources.
5. You must be acquainted with the theme and general storyline.
It is highly recommended that you at the very least sign up for
the forum, as much pertinent information is posted there. You
are not required to post, but for the sake of helping the admins
keep track of playerbase, we ask that you at least sign up.

6. Make sure you read pertinent newsfiles. If you need any help
or have any questions, ask a staffer. If one isn't available, we
check the forum often and will respond as quickly as possible.
Please respect the ruling of wizzes. These rules can also
be found in the newsfiles on the MUCK.
